"Through the Eyes of the Father" is a psychological thriller that opens when the body of twenty-two year old Paula Blake is found, floating facedown, in the muddy waters of Russell Creek in Western New York. Blake is the ninth victim in a string of serial killings in the fictional town of Chesterfield, killings that have spanned much of the past ten years. Detective Daniel Stewart is there to investigate Blakes murder, just as he has in each of the other killings. Frustrated by his inability to solve these horrible crimes, Stewart becomes even more abusive toward his pregnant wife, Abby. Their argument later that night leaves her comatose and puts the life of her unborn child in jeopardy. The ensuing cover-up threatens the boundaries of family and friendship, as Daniel fights desperately to avoid prosecution.
